Where to buy an Everex Cloudbook without going to Wal-Mart
Posted by bradlinder at Friday, January 25, 2008Want to pick up an Everex Cloudbook, but don't feel like walking into a Wal-Mart store to get one? While Everex has a special partnership with Wal-Mart to sell its new ultraportable laptop, it appears that it's not an exclusive deal. ZaReason is also accepting preorders.
ZaReason is charging the standard $399 for a Cloudbook, and also offers an optional $20 carrying case or an assortment of SD cards. One of the advantages the Cloudbook has over the Eee PC is that it comes with a 30GB hard drive, so storage space shouldn't be as much of an issue as it is with the Eee. But you can never have too much memory, right?
If you've found any other stores, either online or bricks and mortar, that are taking orders for the Cloudbook let us know in the comments. Wal-Mart is expected to have units in stock today, but it's not what the inventory situation will be for other retailers.
